What are the signs of a healthy church?

So far we've seen...

• Paul - the apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God!

• Timothy urged to command certain people not to teach differently

• False teachers?

1. The Nature of False Teachers in Ephesus (1:8-10)

• They were insiders

• They were Bible people

• They were wrong

2. The Nature of the Glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ (1:11-17)

• Healthy teaching is entrusted by God to his appointed Apostle

• What a surprising instrumant?!

• But this is perfectly in character with the glorious gospel

• Mercy

• Grace

• Faith

• Love

• Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance

• The gospel is for all!

3. The Nature of the healthy church of Jesus Christ (1:18-20)

• The one who has accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour now has a fight on his hands

• Hold on to faith & a good conscience

• For some have made a shipwreck of their faith
