OUR PASSION
Christ Church is a vibrant, growing community of Spirit-filled followers of Jesus Christ, firmly centred on the bible which is God’s Word above all things. Our passion is to present Christ to all people, and all people mature in Christ.
That means we are passionate to introduce all people to Jesus. No one is too good for Jesus, and no one is too bad. He offers forgiveness for anything. His death on the cross satisfied God’s wrath, was in our place, and makes full forgiveness possible.
As a community, we seek to grow in our love and knowledge of God – out of response to his grace towards us. We also seek to grow in our love for one another. We hope you’ll join us.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON A SUNDAY
Sunday is the high point of our life together, as we meet in loving service of each other, and obedient listening to God.
Morning 8.30am & 10.30AM
Our morning services are a dignified and ordered time of singing, praying and listening to the Bible read and explained. The children join us for the first part of our service and are then invited to join a special, tailor-made Bible teaching programme, run by trained leaders. These leaders have been trained for child safety and for Bible teaching. In addition, we have a mother’s room – for nursing moms. We also have a separate father’s room – for dads on baby-duty. Both rooms have a live feed of the service, so that no one will miss out. The service starts at 08.30AM & 10:30AM sharp and never runs longer than an hour. It is followed by tea and coffee.
Evening 3pm | 5pm | 7pm
We have 3 Sunday afternoon services that are tailored for students. 3pm, 5pm and 7pm. These services are carbon copies of each other, and include singing, prayer, bible reading, and occasional interviews. God’s word is boldly preached and applied. A special feature of our student services is that every sermon is followed by a Q&A where students can ask questions live, or anonymously online. The services start on time, generally last an hour, and are followed by refreshments.
